Working at a travel agency requires special skills that can be obtained either at college or university. But in practice many tour agents have just had Richardson Sales Training course and they are ready to sell tours to the tourists. But for sure they won’t be successful if they know nothing about the country where are talking about. So besides courses they should have at least some of the cultural and historical education that will help to feel comfortable while talking to professional tourists. This is a must in world-known travel agencies and higher education is a requirement as well.

Traveling is a great way to set your mind straight, find out about your inner strength and find new taste for life. In the past travelling was obligatory for everyone who was deemed to be a cultured person and it involved going to far away places to see the most famous marvels the world has to offer. This means museums and galleries, great architecture and natural wonders, different cultures and learning new languages all along. In Europe and North America aristocratic families sent their children on world tours as a finishing touch to the end of their theoretical studies. Travelling helped learn new things about the world as a first hand experience. Today not everyone can afford extensive travelling but most people who care about their lookout on the world like to travel a lot. With better revenue management for hotels it is more convenient and pleasant to stay at hotels while out of the country, and cheap tickets mean that people can do more traveling. It is amazing what a new culture can teach and how many prejudices it can shatter about a given nation. If everyone travelled there would be far less violence and injustice in the world.

It is not a secret that cycling is not just a way of traveling but it always helps to restore health. Definitely, those who experience heart attacks are prescribed to move more and leave a car at home. But unfortunately we are so accustomed to comfort that we can’t imagine that we will cycle instead of driving to work! Even now if I look back to my childhood I realise that cycling was the most exciting way of spending free time and unfortunately I can’t do this at the moment. But at the same time who prevents me from cycling at least several times a week? This will for sure burn excessive kilos and normalize my blood pressure. Some doctors as it was already said deliberately prescribe cycling as the most curable method. So what is the problem? Even if you do not like active sports and cycling in particular - just imagine that you are working for your health and you are trying to explore new places with your brand new cruiser bike. Besides the pleasure you get from riding and discovering new places you are doing physical exercises, you breathe in fresh air (in case if you are riding outside the center of the city) and you do not have to pay for gas! It is your body that makes your beach cruiser ride and you save money! Indeed, this is tiresome and the majority of people are trying to avoid this “prescription” by all means. But one thing is clear: the more you move - the fewer health problems you have. With a nice bike moving becomes a pleasant venture.

It is not a secret that everyone of us adores traveling as it broadens one’s mind and opens new horizons. You get acquainted with new people and get new ideas, you get acquainted with local traditions and customs and you start understanding people’s world outlook there. Every summer my friends and I go somewhere where we can get all the new impressions and feelings. Usually such places are not the world-known places that every travel agency is offering to its clients. We choose such places that are not listed in the travel routes, such places where one can get to only if you have a big desire and are ready to face issues.
Our last adventurous trip was traveling to Belarus. I’m sure that you have no idea where this country is but I can tell you that this is a European country that is situated between Poland and Russia. The language Belarusians speek is mostly Russian and not Belarusian as this can easily be explained by the history of this state. Anyway, many of local people can easily speak English and there is no problem to live there for a foreigner. Definitely, the capital of Belarus Minsk has been practically completely ruined during World War the Second but then rebuilt anew. Today this is a European capital with all the modern buildings and facilities. As we stayed there a week we needed a place to live and first of all we wanted a hotel as usual. But then we faced an interesting thing: the hotels charge so much that we could hardly afford them (I’m talking about hotels that are situated in the center of Minsk). That is why an alternative like Minsk apartments for rent appeared to be a brilliant idea. Cheaper and more comfortable. Definitely, there are no strict rules about late home comings, no food prohibitions as you know that the majority of hotels prohibit taking food and drinks into a room.
Minsk is the greatest city we have ever visited but this was not our ultimate place of destination as the route was to the woodlands and to the lakes of this glorious country: Polesye and Braslav lakes district.
All in all, this was a nice journey to the country where no one awaits tourists and no one sells stuff you may find in Eugypt, Turkey or even Russia. This is a completely different country with kind-hearted and hospitable people who will share their last slice of bread with a complete stranger.

It is interesting to compare trains and planes. Many of you think that trains are slow and planes are much faster. But in this article we will see whether these means of transportation can still compete.
If we start to compare speed, we will see that the difference is great. Planes are limited by the speed of sound only because there is a risk of breaking. It should be mentioned that commercial airlines usually travel at about 500 miles per hour. The speed depends on the amount of fuel this or that jet consumes. Trains travel at about 187 miles per hour which is really less. But there is one factor that makes aircrafts slow.
Airports are usually on the outskirts and it takes some time to get there. In many cases people have to face a journey to get there and it may take about an hour. As for railway stations, they are usually in the centre of the city and it takes much less time, consequently, journey time reduces greatly.
There is also a lot of bureaucracy at the airport. All those check-in, baggage, tickets procedures take so much time… What is more, during international journeys, there is immigration registration. It is possible to do everything being on the train without having to waste time. But with aircraft you will have to hang around or wait in the line to go through the procedure.
But there is always an exception. In our case this exception will be private jets. The prices are much higher. Round trip on a light jet will cost you about $2,000 per hour and one way - $3,300 per hour. But you won’t have to wait for anything. Treatment is completely different, even in comparison with the first class.
The most expensive train seat costs nearly $40,000 and the same on the plane would be approximately $200,000. The difference is great due to fees companies have to pay airports.
Trains and planes are different it is for sure. Fortunately, all of us have the right to choose.

When all things green are the best trick to get a date or score with the colleagues at work it is high time to consider green travelling – not so new but or so trendy and, well, good for Mother Earth.
Travelling green predominantly means staying green as you go along – choosing the transport means, food and accommodation that is safe for the environment. For your movements use of walking, cycling, and public transport instead of a personal car, as much as possible. This is limited to people not burdened with (big) families, disabled members and so on. As your means of transportation consider renting hybrid vehicles or use biodiesel fuels whenever possible. There are different ways to cut use of cars by ridesharing, carpools or opting for a roomier car for all instead of a single one for each individual.
When it comes to accommodation camping is the greenest way out there (provided you leave the place spotless). Staying at green-scored hotels or lodges is also a great option (and better for your hygiene). And remember to eat green, organic and fair-trade food when you are on the go – not only is it good for you but it is also good for the planet to promote and supports its producers.
Booking with a green organization or green travel provider can be a form of promoting things green. Another way is volunteer travel when you are giving back to the community you visit some of your time and effort. Whatever style is yours, turn to green – you children will be grateful.
